MC6 Advanced CNC

Matter of the training "MC6 Advanced CNC" are the basics concerning the control of multiple applications with interpolating axes (CNC) for an industrial controller programming.

target group:
Project engineers, programmers

Training objectives:

  • Safe and efficient use of the CODESYS based development environment from STOBER “AutomationControlSuite AS6” for controlling interpolating axes
  • The training will enable you to create your own G-code acc. to DIN 66025 and CNC program sequences as well as make changes and modifications to existing programs.

Requirements:

  • Training "MC6 Basic" or good knowledge of IEC 61131-3 with the safe handling of data structures and PLCopen modules
  • Notebook with local administration rights for software installation

Training contents:

  • General basic knowledge of the CNC track control with the MC6
  • Creation of CNC programs in the editor according to DIN 66025 in G-code
  • Incorporation of the NC decoder module and its parameterization
  • Use and apply objects of the track preprocessing
  • Use of the CNC interpolator modules
  • Call up the 15 different transformation modules with the associated visualization elements
  • CNC programs with variables for flexible CNC processing
  • Switching functions (H-functions) for the execution of commands during track travel
  • M-functions
  • Use and knowledge about the STOBER “Drive&Motion” library blocks for an easy project creation in CNC Applications
  • Practical exercises
  • Integration and parameterization of drives in the CODESYS programming environment
  • Configuration of STOBER drives (increments and HiRes drivers)
  • Use of real and virtual axes and encoders
  • PLCopen state diagram
  • Creation of motion control applications with PLCopen modules
  • Use and knowledge about the STOBER “Drive&Motion” library blocks for easy project creation
  • Creation of motion control applications with SoftMotion modules with the “Drive&Motion” library
  • Use of master/slave coupling with electronic gears and with phase offset
